Those vertical lines between the eyebrows have earned a few names: frown lines, “11 lines,” or glabellar lines. Whatever you call them, they can sometimes make you look angry, stressed, or serious—even when you’re perfectly content.
Frown lines develop largely from repeated movement of the muscles between and above the eyebrows. Over time, lines that initially appear only with expression can become visible even when the face is at rest.
What Can Help Frown Lines?
Neuromodulators such as Botox work by temporarily reducing targeted muscle activity. When strategically placed in the muscles responsible for frowning, they may soften the appearance of existing expression lines while reducing the repetitive movement that contributes to them.
If lines are already etched into the skin at rest, your provider may also recommend treatments focused on skin quality, texture, and collagen remodeling as part of a more comprehensive plan.
Treatment options may include:
- Botox / Neuromodulators
- Morpheus8 RF Microneedling
- CO2 Laser Resurfacing
- Microneedling
- Medical Grade Skin Care
